Frontier Bar & Grill in Custer

I got the Paha Sapa and it was the best burger I've had in my life, me and my family were very satisfied.

Okay food, could be made at home.. Sat inside, very warm sitting area. Over all clean dining area. Friendly male server. Head waitress/bar tender seemed frustrated/overwhelmed and was CONTINUOUSLY YELLING at other staff, they appeared to be very SHORT STAFFED and she made this known. Sadly, would NOT return nor recommend.

If you like no AC and paying over $10 for 2 small chicken strips, smaller than DQ, and a kids side of fries then this is the place for you!

The bartender was very sweet and helpful with any questions we asked and can tell you some good jokes we didn’t have to wait long for food and it was GREAT food! Best bar I think we had stopped at. I recommend stopping here good family bar.

Best ribs I've had.

Very friendly place to eat in this small town. The atmosphere is quaint with a pool table, fire place, and some video games. Willing to accommodate gluten sensitive as best they could.

Arrived at 12 noon on Tuesday and was immediately told that we would be waited on in 15 minutes. When the waitress came to take our order, we were told that there were no chicken breasts, chicken strips, ribs, or coleslaw. The soda was flat. We were charged extra for sharing a meal and we're never told of the cost upfront. The hamburgers that we ordered we're not fully cooked either. We were never waited on after we received our food. The food was way overpriced for the experience.

Nice outdoor eating area. Live entertainment with Laurie, a local singer with acoustic guitar...good. We had the hot dog special with a beer. Friendly service.

The best ribs I have ever eaten. The meat literally fell off the bones. I'm so glad we stopped. I can't wait to go back.

It's okay.... It's a small town restaurant and feels that way. The outdoor eating area is actually really nice and I enjoyed it a ton. As far as the food goes... What you pay for versus what you get isn't exactly great. Go for the appetizers they are the best on the menu everything else take a pass on it.

We had awesome service, super friendly and helpful. Our food was fantastic! My hubby & oldest son got the triple cheese burger and I did not hear a peep out of them, they were to busy downing the burger. My youngest got the pork ribs, they were to die for. I got the steak with shrimp and it was cooked perfectly. If we did not live so far away, this place would be a regular eating spot.

Just OK. Wings were good. It was not busy but the Service was slow.

Inviting family restaurant. Great American Food. Ribs were "fall-off-the-bone". Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely will make this a regular stop when we travel back through.

Good burger

We made a wrong turn from the Needles Highway, came through Custer needing something to eat. I had the half slab of ribs. Now I've had ribs in Memphis and in Gilbert Arizona, those ribs were great, but the ribs here were out of this world delicious. Service was fast, had a chance to sit and before I knew it, the ribs were in front of me. I'm so glad we missed the turn and stopped here for a meal. Get the ribs, you won't be disappointed.

Cheaper prices very friendly staff. Got a ham and cheese it was three pieces of wafer meat and a slice of cheese... Got a blt thinking the ham was maybe a kids sandwich and it was about three pieces of the thin precooked bacon. Not worth it

Id would avoid this place our burgers were cold my daughter's tater tots were still frozen when they were throwing on the table and our wait just to get our food and the staff was not very helpful at all good luck getting a refill my son's 15 piece chicken wings come to the table with seven of them

Rough on the outside but a great choice! We had fall off the bone ribs, sweet potato fries and fried siracha cauliflower bites. Friendly and fast service.

The food was great! The service was awesome and the people are all friendly. It's a Bar and Grill. Very comfortable place to be in. They had a pool table which I haven't gotten to play in a few years, so that was really fun. Their Jukebox had a bunch of selection, even artist that are not well known but still have great music. I've always heard good things about it but had never went in for whatever reason. Definetly going to start going more. Definetly recommended!

Hamburger was not good it was like a frozen patty didn’t like it at all Charged extra $1.50 for 1/3 pound must be their regular cause I ordered a regular burger thought it would be the smallest . Ketchup and mustard bottles were nasty Dried up on the tips of the bottles . Charge 3.9% to use credit card . Do not recommend this place at all . They are way overpriced ! None of the above due to COVID excuses

The food was WAY too overpriced for the quantity and quality. I could have prepared far better at home and tasted 10 times better. I almost sent it back. I literally left still hungry. We went back to the hotel we were staying and ate some food we packed for the trip. Surprised this place is still open. Spend your hard earned money anywhere else.

Took over 30 minute to get coffee, which was really bad... then order a BLT sandwich, after another 20 minutes wait, we were told that they didn't had bacon so I change my order but finally ended up eating whatever burger they brought me..... invoice were mixed up but the staff seemed so overwhelmed by our presence that we didn't insist paid our bill and rush out of there... not a good place to eat and relax unless you enjoy watching black and white bonanza reruns...
